Painting Notes:
I started painting very early on this crisp cool sunny day in the mountains of Colorado. The day warmed up and it was a joy to be out painting this iconic view of Maroon Bells. A park ranger stopped by to compliment my work and to ask me to move just inside the roped walkway. Also, the hike just beyond the lake is beautiful as is follows along a meandering creek.
